Let's see...I think your research question and thesis may need to be modified a little.
As we discussed in class, Singlish is NOT in danger of disappearing, and nobody is trying to abolish it, so that does not seem to be the core issue.
The problem seems to be "How should the Singapore government create a more natural balance between Singlish use and sufficient learning of Standard English?"
So...what do you think? What should the Singapore government DO in terms of actions to improve the current situation. Try to propose one or two concrete things based on your research.
For example, should they allow all school classes to be taught in Singlish? Why?
